About Us

The Kyneton and District Old Time Dance Club has been in operation since 1999. The aim of the club is to provide an old time country dance featuring dances that most people love. The club meets every Tuesday night at the St Mary’s Hall in Hutton Street, Kyneton. We start at 7:00 pm and finish with a light supper at around 10:00 pm. You do not need a partner as there are always other people to dance with. Members ensure that club nights are welcoming, inclusive and friendly. The club holds a community dance on the fourth Friday of every month. These dances often have a theme and entry is $8.00 per person. Dance programs can be found here.

Members also get together for a meal at various towns within the catchment area.

We also offer a good old fashioned country supper at all our dances!

We do not have formal tuition, however we conduct walkthrough demonstrations of various dances and we have members willing to assist you. Learning and practicing dances is at your own pace. Dancing is a great social activity, friendships and exercise are just some of the benefits.
